Essentials Courses Offered:

These courses include the following teaching methodologies: didactic presentations enhanced by video surgery, live surgery observation, case planning workshops that allow you to asses what you have learned, training of your surgical assistant and hands-on exercises performedand/or simulated anatomic models.

The foundational Essentials course is designed for clinicians with early to intermediate experience in implant surgery, who are looking to gain foundational scientific and clinical knowledge and the surgical skills required to safely perform implant surgery procedures for straightforward partially edentulous case types. Emphasis will be placed on patient evaluation, risk assessment, diagnostic modalities, prosthetic-surgical treatment planning, surgical instrumentation, sterile operatory setup, surgical protocols for management of soft and hard tissues, and avoidance of intra-operative complications for straightforward partially edentulous case types.

The intermediate Essentials course is appropriate for clinicians with intermediate experience in implant dentistry, who are looking to gain advanced clinical knowledge required to safely perform implant surgery for advanced partially edentulous case types. Emphasis will be placed on patient evaluation, risk assessment, prosthetic-surgical treatment planning, implant occlusion and biomechanics, surgical protocols for safely performing implant surgery, and avoidance of intra-operative complications for advanced partially edentulous case types.

The advanced Essentials course is appropriate for clinicians with intermediate experience in implant dentistry who are looking to gain advanced clinical knowledge required to safely perform implant surgery for edentulous case types with moderate alveolar atrophy. Emphasis will be placed on patient evaluation, risk assessment, prosthetic-surgical treatment planning, implant occlusion and biomechanics, surgical protocols for safely performing implant surgery, and avoidance of intra-operative complications for edentulous case types with moderate atrophy.
